Good Credit Scores or Bad Credit Scores - She May Decide Not to Marry You

Good Credit Scores are pretty much a must these days. I have discussed in previous articles, who all takes a peek into your history to determine your risk. That list gets pretty long real quick. It's amazing how your report could be part of the process of elimination in any of the following:

1.New Career
2.New Dream Home
3.New Dream Car
4.New Wedding Ring
5.New Apartment
6.New credit card
7.New business loan
8.New Wife or Husband

Yes, No. 8 was wife or husband. It's common these days for someone not to marry you, because of your terrible credit history. Why would anyone want to marry someone with bad credit, and take on there issues. This will creep into all aspects of your personal life. Let's assume you get married, and try to buy a house.

Here is the scenario:

Wife's Score: 720 Husbands Score: 540

Unfortunately the husband is the bread winner, and his income is much needed to purchase this new home. Do you think this couple will get the best interest rates, or can they even get a loan? I have seen this over the years, and it can cause lots of problems. With the guidelines getting more strict in the mortgage industry, there is chance they can get approved with the wife's good credit scores, but there is also a huge chance most banks will not accept the credit of the husband. This type of decision making is trickling down into everything these days. Your score could cost you more than a new "Dream Job." It could cost you the love of your life. This may sound crazy, but you might consider getting your partner's report, before making that big step. It's becoming prevalent these days, what's your score sweetie? We all need stability, and an individual with bad credit is sign of non stability.

Remember, when you marry someone, you inherit there credit as well.
